SOA Exam Fee Refund Program Process

After completing all types of SOA exams, each candidate will receive a transcript regardless of whether they pass or fail the SOA Actuarial Exam by Prometric Exam Center workers or proctors.

How To Get A Refund Of The Soa Exam Fee

If you fail the exam (less than 70% or passing score), you will also receive a transcript indicating that the candidate has failed the exam. This transcript also contains diagnostic representations of performance in each exam content domain.

Release time of SOA test results

Each candidate must wait at least eight weeks after the SOA exam period ends. Everyone can see the exact release date of the results on the official SOA website, and follow these steps to see the date. 

Search for the date of the SOA result and click on the first result (Test Results-SOA.org)

Find the release date of the pass candidate number for each actuarial exam and the release date of the online transcript grades.

For example, I took the SOA exam IFM in early December 2021 and found that I could get accurate exam results through SOA.

This shows that my grades will be released on the SOA website on January 25, 2021.

After the exam results are announced, each candidate can begin submitting an exam fee refund application to the SOA or university.

These are all eligibility requirements for anyone who wants to apply for a refund of the SOA exam fee.

The application must be submitted within 90 days of the release date of the exact result grade .

Successful applicants will be refunded an 80% SOA exam fee under this program .

Candidates / Applicants must first pass SOA Exam P and SOA Exam FM .

Only the following SOA exams are eligible for this application:

• SOA exam IFM
• SOA exam LTAM
• SOA exam STAM
• SOA exam PA
• SOA exam SRM
• FAP assessment and fellowship level exams. 

Universities and faculty members have different requirements than graduate doctoral degrees student.

Therefore, this method is only suitable for those who have completed an actuarial examination in the United States (USA) or who can afford the high transpiration costs to send this document to actuarial association staff.
